Job Description

Senior Software Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining modeling and simulation software solutions, primarily in C++, across Windows and Linux, collaborating with engineers and scientists.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and debug software applications primarily in C++.
  • Build and maintain modeling and simulation tools following industry best practices.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and the design of new software features.
  • Produce readable, well documented code with clear inline documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively within a fast paced, agile team environment.
  • Engage in code reviews and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
  • Diagnose and resolve software defects to ensure reliability.
  • Deploy and sustain applications on Windows and Linux platforms.
  • Contribute to test planning and execute testing procedures.
  • Stay current with evolving technologies and trends in software development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience using C++.
  • Strong background in modeling and simulation principles and techniques.
  • Proficiency developing applications for both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Solid understanding of object oriented programming concepts and design patterns.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
