This Staff Machine Learning Engineer role focuses on turning research into production-ready modeling, backed by user data, large-scale compute, and close collaboration with engineering and product teams.
What you’ll do
- Identify opportunities and shape the modeling roadmap to address customer needs.
- Lead foundational research to develop new models and modeling paradigms.
- Validate models quickly by leveraging rich user data and large-scale compute.
- Work closely with engineering and product partners to productionalize research.
What you’ll bring
- Hands-on experience applying state-of-the-art machine learning and deep learning models to complex real-world problems, with a focus on user behavior modeling.
- Proficiency in Python and PyTorch, along with experience using deep learning frameworks.
- A strong grasp of metric design, large-scale data analysis, and distributed computing frameworks.
- Proven ability to drive projects end-to-end, resolving critical cross-team problems and delivering measurable business results.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is USD 172,200 - 283,900 per year, with zone breakdown:
- Zone A: $218,400 - $283,900
- Zone B: $194,100 - $252,300
- Zone C: $172,200 - $223,900
Base salary is only part of the offer. This role may also be eligible for equity awards and participation in company incentive plans (such as annual discretionary bonuses or sales commissions). The final offer depends on factors including geographic location and relevant experience, professional background, and skill set.
