Embedded Software Engineer
Job Description
Join Bosch Group in Owatonna, MN for onsite embedded development in the Bosch Automotive Service Solutions diagnostics group. You’ll build and support software that runs on, or integrates with, electronic devices, working in a dynamic manufacturing environment and collaborating across multiple departments. The role focuses on production-ready embedded software development, technical troubleshooting, and hands-on support for hardware and software bring-up.
Responsibilities
- Develop cutting edge software using C++, C#, Java, and/or Android for embedded applications.
- Contribute to software architecture and design for new products.
- Participate in design reviews and code reviews while following software development best practices.
- Deliver system-wide problem-solving, providing solutions and production support.
- Support hardware board bring-up, troubleshooting, device driver development, and automated software builds.
- Seek out personal development opportunities and participate in continued learning.
- Build and share a knowledge base covering latest technologies, industry standardization, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with multiple departments in a dynamic manufacturing facility.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar technical field (required).
- 3+ years of experience developing software and delivering to a production environment.
- 3+ years experience with C++, C#, and/or Java.
- Proven technical communication skills, expressing complex concepts verbally and in writing.
- Full stack development on Android and/or Linux.
- Ability to learn from teammates and adapt to best-in-class industry standards.

Compensation: USD 82,000 - 116,000 per year.
