Responsibilities
- Own and design data architecture for multiple large-scale projects, weighing design and operational cost-benefit tradeoffs.
- Develop and contribute to data logging frameworks, collaborating with data infrastructure teams to triage and resolve issues.
- Partner with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to translate data needs into meaningful insights and visuals.
- Define and manage Service Level Agreements for data sets within your areas of ownership.
- Establish security models aligned with privacy requirements, ensure safeguards, address data quality issues, and evolve governance processes within owned domains.
- Design, build, and deploy sophisticated data models and visualizations that support diverse use cases across products and domains.
- Tackle complex data integration challenges using effective ETL patterns, frameworks, and querying techniques across structured and unstructured sources.
- Help own production processes, optimize code with advanced algorithmic approaches.
- Improve pipelines, dashboards, frameworks, and systems to streamline development of data artifacts.
- Influence product and cross-functional teams to uncover data opportunities and drive measurable impact.
- Mentor teammates through actionable feedback and collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of experience in roles focused on data, such as data analyst, data scientist, data engineer, or equivalent.
- 7+ years of experience with SQL, ETL, data modeling, and at least one programming language (Python, C++, C#, Scala, or similar).
