Job Description

Apple's Sunnyvale campus is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to advance ML models for computer vision and graphics within Face and Body/vision technologies. This role covers the full ML lifecycle to ship features on iOS and VisionOS, working closely with ML, data, and software engineers across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design data collection schemes and processing steps to support ML workflows.
  • Develop models and run experiments as part of the ML cycle.
  • Validate solutions and perform QA in real-world scenarios.
  • Advance applied research to adapt state-of-the-art methods or implement new approaches for iOS and VisionOS features.
  • Collaborate with fellow ML engineers, data engineers, and software engineers across functions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of ML experience on computer vision or graphics applications.
  • Software engineering proficiency with Python.
  • Experience with PyTorch.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer vision, computer graphics, machine learning, or a related field.

Pay and Benefits

Base pay range: USD 150,400 - 277,600 per year. The final amount depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS or PhD in computer vision, computer graphics, machine learning, computer science, computer engineering, or related fields.
  • Self-motivated with proven ability to prioritize and deliver tasks on schedule.
  • Excellent communication and experience working with cross-functional teams.
