Job Description
QFocus Technologies is seeking a C++ Software Engineer for an onsite role in Sunnyvale, CA. On the AI Infrastructure Silicon Validation team, you will build and maintain software used to test, validate, and stress-test AI infrastructure platforms, partnering closely with compute hardware through vendor SDKs.
This position emphasizes reliable, production-quality validation tooling. You will integrate low-level APIs (including NVIDIA CUDA), identify edge cases, and deliver testing code with ownership from requirements through delivery, debugging, and documentation.
What You’ll Do
- Design, implement, and maintain test applications in C++ to validate the performance and correctness of AI infrastructure.
- Integrate and use third-party SDKs and low-level APIs, specifically including CUDA, to interact with compute hardware.
- Create reusable, modular validation frameworks using modern object-oriented design patterns.
- Own assigned validation features end-to-end, from technical requirements through delivery, debugging, and documentation, with minimal supervision.
- Find and address software issues such as bugs, memory problems, and API integration edge cases in a Linux-based engineering environment.
What You Bring
- Strong proficiency in core C++, including modern standards such as C++14 and C++17, with deep understanding of classes, inheritance, polymorphism, and memory management.
- Ability to read documentation, learn new SDKs quickly, and implement them, with specific experience implementing CUDA APIs.
- Proficiency with POSIX multi-threading.
- Comfort building, compiling, and running applications on Linux, including using toolchains such as CMake and Make.
- Track record of working autonomously to complete coding tasks, write clean test code, and troubleshoot issues.
