Senior Frontend AEM Developer
Job Description
Fortinet is seeking a Senior Frontend AEM Developer to build, enhance, and maintain high-performance digital experiences. In this onsite role in Sunnyvale, CA, you will develop AEM-powered enterprise websites and integrate modern frontend capabilities to support marketing and business goals.
You will combine Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) development with React-based component work, with a focus on accessibility, technical SEO, performance, and close collaboration across Marketing, UX/UI, Content, and other stakeholders.
What you’ll do
- Develop and maintain enterprise websites and digital experiences using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
- Build modern, reusable, and scalable AEM components using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Develop and integrate React applications and components within an AEM environment.
- Collaborate with Marketing, UX/UI, Content, and SEO teams to understand business requirements and deliver effective web solutions.
- Translate designs, wireframes, and marketing requirements into responsive, accessible, high-quality experiences.
- Ensure compliance with WCAG accessibility standards, including keyboard navigation, screen-reader compatibility, semantic HTML, proper ARIA implementation, color contrast, and accessible forms/components.
- Implement and optimize technical SEO, including semantic markup, metadata, structured content, heading hierarchy, internal linking, canonicalization, page performance, and crawlability.
- Optimize frontend applications for performance, Core Web Vitals, responsive behavior, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Develop reusable AEM assets such as components, templates, dialogs, and frontend implementations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across frontend, AEM, accessibility, SEO, and performance.
- Partner with backend developers, QA engineers, designers, content authors, and marketing stakeholders.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to frontend coding standards and best practices.
- Support website releases, enhancements, and production issues when needed.
- Keep current with modern frontend technologies, accessibility standards, SEO practices, and web development trends.
Requirements
- 5+ years of frontend web development experience.
- Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
- Strong experience with React.js and modern frontend development.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience building responsive sites and reusable frontend components.
- Strong understanding of web accessibility and WCAG standards.
- Practical experience implementing SEO best practices for enterprise websites.
- Experience working with Marketing, UX, Content, and other business stakeholders.
- Ability to understand business requirements and independently translate them into technical solutions.
- Experience with Git and modern software development workflows.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
