Anduril Industries’ Strategic Defense team is focused on protecting the United States and its allies from ballistic, hypersonic, and air-breathing threats. In this role, you will help build software-defined command and control capabilities designed to see, decide, and act faster than any human operator could alone, especially as these threats arrive in seconds, maneuver mid-flight, and launch in volleys that stress legacy defenses.
You’ll be joining an engineering group that spans autonomy, tracking, simulation and wargaming, hardware, systems engineering, and test and evaluation, working toward an accredited fire control system that can be fielded rapidly and at scale. The work also includes incubating and maturing AI-native offerings for the integrated air and missile defense domain.
What you’ll do
- Own software solutions deployed to customers at the edge of innovation and necessity
- Write production code to improve robust command and control (C2) products and scale mission capabilities
- Collaborate across multiple engineering teams to plan, build, and test functionality in complex systems
- Work with end-users to translate needs into features quickly while balancing user experience and engineering constraints
- Travel with the team 10% to 30% to support real-world build, test, and deployment of capabilities
Required experience
- 3-8+ years writing production software in languages such as C++, Rust, Go, or Python for users or systems that depend on it
- Experience owning a feature or service end-to-end, including design, implementation, deployment, and production break/fix
- Ability to debug issues in code and systems you did not originally write or design
- Skill in explaining technical tradeoffs to non-software audiences such as operators, hardware engineers, and customers
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
