Splunk SOAR Developer

Role and Location

We are seeking a Splunk SOAR Developer for a client in the financial services sector. The role supports the Security Operations Department and the Security Automation team. Location options include Chicago, IL 60661; Denver, CO; and Washington, DC. Onsite presence is required five days per week at the designated location.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced security automation workflows using Splunk SOAR (Phantom).
• Create custom applications and integrations from scratch to connect security tools and automate response actions.
• Implement secure credential management, robust error handling, and comprehensive logging within automation solutions.
• Review API documentation and securely integrate third party services to support automation efforts.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure automation solutions comply with enterprise change management standards and best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Splunk SOAR or Phantom, including building custom applications and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and developing custom solutions.
• Experience with REST APIs, third party integrations, and secure credential management.
• Solid understanding of Splunk SOAR architecture, including key daemons and services.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git and familiarity with enterprise change management processes.
