Splunk SOAR Developer

Experis, part of the ManpowerGroup family of brands, is seeking a Splunk SOAR Developer for an onsite role in Chicago, IL. This position sits in the financial services sector within the Security Operations Department, supporting the Security Automation team. You will design, build, and maintain security automation workflows using Splunk SOAR to strengthen enterprise defense and response capabilities. The role offers an hourly rate of USD 79 and is based onsite in Chicago.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain advanced security automation workflows using Splunk SOAR (Phantom).
• Develop custom applications and integrations from scratch to connect security tools and automate responses.
• Implement secure credential management, error handling, and detailed logging within automation solutions.
• Review and interpret API documentation to securely and efficiently integrate third party services.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure automation solutions align with enterprise change management standards and best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Splunk SOAR or Phantom, including building custom applications and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Python programming for scripting and developing custom solutions.
• Experience with REST APIs, third-party integrations, and secure credential management.
• Solid understanding of Splunk SOAR architecture, including key daemons and services.
• Experience with version control systems like Git and familiarity with enterprise change management processes.
