Responsibilities
- Develop and troubleshoot software with innovative approaches to solve complex problems
- Collaborate directly with Lines of Business to understand needs within a low-latency electronic trading compute environment
- Define strategies for server hardware platforms, OS tuning and automation, and the lifecycle of infrastructure applications
- Serve as the design authority for the compute infrastructure stack, including build/configuration management and log/metric collection
- Engage with hardware and software vendors on roadmaps to shape the next generation of trading platform infrastructure
- Develop secure, production-grade code and provide reviews and debugging for peers
- Identify opportunities to automate remediation for recurring issues to improve operational stability
- Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architecture and applicability within current systems and information architecture
- Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote adoption of new technologies

Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
- Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Understanding of IPv4 networking, OSI model, unicast/broadcast/multicast, routing, and network segregation mechanisms
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages
- Strong automation and continuous delivery capabilities
- Proficient across all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Deep understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
- Proven ability in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline such as cloud, AI/ML, or mobile
- Strong knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems
- Hands-on cloud-native experience
