Sr Lead Software Engineer

As a Lead Software Engineer on JPMorganChase’s CDAO AI/ML Data Platform team, you will help build and deliver technology products designed for security, stability, and scalability. In an agile environment, you will provide technical direction, contribute production-quality code, and support product and operational decisions.

USD 156,750 - 215,000 per year

Core Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and direction to support business needs across technical teams, contractors, and vendors
• Develop secure, high-quality production code; review and debug code written by others
• Drive decisions that affect product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
• Act as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
• Advocate firmwide frameworks, tools, and Software Development Life Cycle practices while actively contributing to the engineering community
• Influence peers and project decision-makers to evaluate and apply leading-edge technologies
• Contribute to a team culture grounded in diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
• Build and operate 24x7, tier-1 online services

Required Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts plus 5+ years applied experience
• Strong core engineering skills, including hands-on coding and system design for modern enterprise systems
• Proficiency in one or more: Rust, Java, Go, C++
• Proven experience building and operating 24/7, tier-1 online services
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Ability to address design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
