Job Description
The Unit Controls Embedded Software Developer designs, implements, and tests real-time embedded software for HVAC control systems and builds automation integration in La Crosse, WI.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, implement, and test real-time embedded software for electronic industrial HVAC controls
- Integrate software and hardware, test and verify system functionality
- Advance software development tools, technology, and processes
- Estimate tasks and generate schedules for reporting to leadership and end customers
- Manage field reported defects
- Follow established Trane product development procedures and guidelines
- Estimated 5% travel
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science
- 1-3 years of software development experience
- 1-3 years of C++ or similar object-oriented software design experience
- Experience in analysis, design, implementation, test, and debugging of software
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
