Job Description
Responsibilities
- Provide software engineering expertise to a multidisciplinary team with Transport Refrigeration Unit (TRU) and diagnostics backgrounds.
- Develop applications to detect issues in TRU systems using sensor and performance data.
- Support and enhance applications for diagnosing TRU data sets.
- Adapt existing applications to evolving software architectures and platforms.
- Validate application performance through automation, testing frameworks, and extensive data analysis.
- Collaborate with local and remote software teams to develop, integrate, and deploy diagnostic applications.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and support knowledge-sharing across the team.
- Interface with internal teams, stakeholders and dealer technicians as needed to support product development and issue resolution.

Where is the work
Hybrid role based in Minneapolis, MN. Monday to Thursday onsite with colleagues; Fridays offer flexibility to choose your work location based on what your work requires.

What you will bring
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven background in real-world software design and implementation
- Minimum of 8 years of software development experience
- Knowledge in embedded control systems design in HVAC-R, Automotive, or Off-Highway applications
- Strong understanding of embedded control systems, security standards and best practices
- Experience with Agile environments, sprint planning, scrum processes
- Technical problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to collaborate with and communicate to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of software design principles and development best practices
- Experience integrating software into real-world applications and systems
- Ability to visualize data and perform engineering-oriented data analysis
- Knowledge of database design and SQL
