Application Developer I/II/III

Santa Clara Family Health Plan seeks an Application Developer I/II/III to design, implement, and support in-house and vendor applications and interfaces focused on data exchange with trading partners and regulatory compliance, with a salary range of USD 85,740 to 128,610 per year, and a hybrid remote work setup in San Jose, CA.

Responsibilities

• Maintain existing applications and develop new ones to meet organizational needs.
• Apply data analysis techniques and SQL queries to support internal functions through reporting; for Application Developer III this includes building and maintaining a data warehouse.
• Assess and improve processes across levels, proposing and implementing solutions that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot production issues related to performance, data errors, and process failures by reviewing logs, source code, and data, then implement fixes.
• Collaborate with business analysts, other developers, and end users throughout the project life cycle to gather requirements, test solutions, and demonstrate functionality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training/experience.
• Application Developer I: at least 1 year of experience in application development.
• Application Developer II: at least 2 years of experience in application development.
• Application Developer III: at least 4 years of experience in application development.
• Applicable software development certifications.
• Application Developer I: training or hands-on experience with SQL programming, MS SQL database development, and T-SQL query generation.
• Application Developer II: at least 1 year of experience with SQL programming, MS SQL database development, and T-SQL query generation.
• Application Developer II: at least 1 year of experience with MS SQL BI tools (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS) or other enterprise BI software.
• Application Developer III: at least 3 years of experience with MS SQL BI tools (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS) or other enterprise BI software.
• Application Developer II: at least 1 year of experience with any of the following languages/platforms: .NET, PERL, Java, SAS, VB, C++, or other modern programming language or related software.
• Application Developer III: at least 3 years of experience with SQL programming, MS SQL database development, and T-SQL query generation.
• Application Developer I: knowledge of MS SQL BI tools (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS) or other enterprise BI software.
• Application Developer I: knowledge of any of the following languages/platforms: .NET, PERL, Java, SAS, VB, C++, or related software.
