Job Description
Christus Health is seeking an Information Services Developer II focused on IM application development in Irving, Texas. In this onsite full-time role, you will design, build, and implement systems based on documented requirements while partnering with team members to support both internal and external users, with an emphasis on delivery timeliness and customer service.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze ideas along with business and functional requirements to develop a practical design strategy.
- Define application design and coding parameters, including essential functionality, and act as the tenant for turning requirements into workable solutions.
- Collaborate with team members to identify issues and implement technical solutions that are time and cost-effective while maintaining performance and quality.
- Write and follow code using industry best practices, adhering to organizational development rules and standards.
- Develop and deploy code using existing tools and platforms used for automation and testing.
- Contribute input during evaluation of proposed system acquisitions or solution development, focusing on compatibility, cost, resource requirements, operations, and maintenance.
- Integrate software components and services into the existing technical environment by assessing impacts to other systems and coordinating with cross-functional Information Services teams.
- Install, configure, and verify the correct operation of software components as part of deployment and system integration.
- Support proactive standards, design, and implementation of processes that collect and report data and statistics for assigned systems.
- Participate in research, design, development, and implementation of applications, databases, and interfaces using provided technology platforms.
- Research, design, implement, and manage programs throughout the software lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot and address problems across testing cycles, continuously improving deliverable quality.
- Reference and document each phase of development to support future reference and maintenance operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related field.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and process.
- Algorithm and Data Structure proficiency.
- Critical and analytical thinking skills.
- Understanding of programming principles and design.
- Strong technical knowledge of application, integration design and development of systems, databases, operating systems, and Information Services.
- Ability to solve complex problems with direction.
- Capacity to interact effectively and patiently with customers, including while under pressure.
- Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks to meet deadlines.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with other employees.
