General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Database Developer SME to support a large-scale National Intelligence program. In this onsite role in Herndon, VA, you will design and build relational database structures and provide hands-on support for complex database operations with a strong focus on security, backup, and recovery.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop database schemas and objects by interpreting data models, creating logical and physical structures using standard diagramming techniques, and implementing or troubleshooting database code and changes.
- Support day-to-day operations for complex relational databases across Linux and Windows environments.
- Apply database security requirements and contribute to documented backup and recovery procedures.
- Analyze complex data and database performance issues using logic, pattern recognition, and cost and benefit tradeoffs to recommend effective solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to meet service quality standards and customer needs.
Required Qualifications
- Technical training, certification(s), or a Bachelor’s Degree plus 5+ years of experience in database development.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Onsite location in Herndon, Virginia.
- Travel: less than 10%.

Compensation and Benefits
