SQL Developer

Robotics Technologies is hiring an Oracle SQL Developer for a contract role in San Antonio, TX (onsite). This position focuses on turning existing Alteryx and flat-file reporting processes into maintainable Oracle SQL and PL/SQL stored procedures, with emphasis on validation, clear documentation, and reliable downstream reporting for workstreams like customer segmentation and accounts receivable.

What you’ll do

• Analyze current Alteryx workflows, SQL logic, and flat-file reporting processes.
• Build Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code, including stored procedures that consolidate duplicated logic and replicate appropriate Alteryx and flat-file transformations inside Oracle.
• Identify which Alteryx transformations should be retained versus which can be sustainably moved into database procedures.
• Convert flat-file-based processing into structured database tables and database processes.
• Validate converted outputs by performing record-count checks, reconciling totals, and verifying calculations, filters, rounding rules, and historical treatment.
• Reduce redundant ingestion, processing, and transformations across existing workflows.
• Support the customer segmentation and/or accounts receivable reporting workstreams.
• Create historically trackable datasets that support trending and future analysis.
• Maintain dataset relationships so customer information can be analyzed holistically.
• Support data consumed by Power BI and other downstream reporting.
• Document source-to-target mappings and data lineage, procedural and transformation logic, calculation and rounding rules, historical tracking and retention logic, data relationships and source locations, and business definitions for interpretation of reporting outputs.
• Deliver transparent, understandable processes that business stakeholders can trust.

What you bring

• Hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including stored procedures, complex queries, and data transformation logic.
• Alteryx experience, including the ability to understand and review existing workflows.
• Experience working with relational databases and structured datasets.
• Experience transitioning data and processes from flat-file workflows into database structures.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong technical documentation skills.

• Power BI experience.
• Data transformation / ETL experience.
• Accounts receivable, billing, or financial reporting data experience.
• Customer segmentation or customer analytics experience.
• Experience working with historical and trending datasets.
