Sr. Maximo Developer

Senior QA Analyst role focused on SQL and Azure DevOps, a contract position in Houston, hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Shape and refine QA practices, procedures, and the effective use of tools and technologies within the QA workflow.
• Review test cases to ensure alignment with acceptance criteria for each user story and document accordingly.
• Create, execute, and maintain comprehensive software test plans and associated test cases.
• Coordinate with offshore QA teams to perform testing activities in Agile sprints.
• Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders to drive the delivery of high quality products.
• Apply both manual and automated testing techniques.
• Generate detailed reports on test execution and defect rates using bug-tracking systems.
• Demonstrate leadership to motivate and guide teams toward successful project outcomes.
• Communicate clearly across all organizational levels to foster urgency and a commitment to excellence.
• Continuously seek improvements to processes and procedures within the designated area.
• Participate actively in daily standups, sprint planning, and refinement sessions, contributing constructively to discussions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 7+ years of software QA testing experience
• Experience with Azure DevOps
• Strong core testing capabilities
• Understanding of requirements-based testing and the software development life cycle
• Knowledge of both manual and automated QA methods and processes
• Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge for database testing
• Ability to plan, execute, and manage phased testing across the entire software development lifecycle, including functional and non-functional testing
• Motivated, results-oriented self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Experience with API testing

Compensation

Estimated salary range: USD 105,000 - 150,000 per year
