Hybrid contract role for a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and improve production data pipelines for financial and accounting platforms.

Build, operate, and optimize scalable data pipelines supporting financial and accounting platforms
Support enterprise system migrations and high-volume data processing workloads
Own workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow
Perform data modeling to support downstream analytics and reporting
Apply performance tuning to improve pipeline reliability and throughput
Manage distributed workloads in containerized environments (Kubernetes/OpenShift)

Must have hands-on Apache Airflow DAG development
Hands-on experience with dbt Core
Experience with Kubernetes
On-prem OpenShift experience
10+ years of professional experience in data engineering, designing and supporting enterprise-scale data platforms in production environments
Hands-on experience deploying DBT and Apache Airflow on Kubernetes, specifically in an on-prem OpenShift environment
Close interaction with infrastructure, including Kubernetes operations, Airflow design and implementation, and hands-on dbt model development in an on-prem setup
Deeper, practical experience in dbt and Airflow within Kubernetes-based on-prem environments
