Job Description
Senior Software Engineer specializing in embedded avionics and power electronics, driving safe, reliable, and innovative aerospace products across general, commercial, and defense markets. Onsite in Wichita, KS.
Responsibilities
- Develop embedded software and hardware for avionics, including instruments, navigation systems, and energy management modules.
- Contribute to safe, dependable, and innovative aerospace products used worldwide across general, commercial, and defense sectors.
- Lead innovative projects and push the boundaries of aerospace technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in computer engineering or a related field.
- At least 10 years of hands-on experience designing embedded software.
- Strong C programming skills, with familiarity of target hardware, lab equipment, and debugging tools.
- Meticulous attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and a results-driven mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, plus strong interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Nice to Have Skills
- Experience designing safety-critical software with RTCA DO-178C, DO-254 or similar standards
- Experience with C# for PC application software
- Programming skills in VHDL
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT)
- Experience designing or troubleshooting PCB hardware
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or a related field
- Over 10 years of embedded software design experience
Other Requirements
- Ability to work with target hardware, including lab and test equipment
- Hands-on experience with hardware prototyping, soldering, and testing
- Capable of designing and executing test programs to ensure regulatory and performance compliance
- Flexibility to work in both office and laboratory environments
