Software Engineer 3 - (Full Stack, UI/UX, Python)

Akina, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer 3 to support the RECON team within the CNO environment. This role focuses on full stack development, UI/UX, and Python to deliver deployable solutions and end-to-end prototypes, collaborating with multiple product teams and mission stakeholders to iterate requirements rapidly. The position is onsite in Columbia, MD, with a salary range of USD 232,000 to 283,000 annually.

Responsibilities

• Understand the mission objectives, work with teammates, gather user requirements, and quickly develop effective solutions.
• Independently drive feature development and take ownership of the full development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with and contribute to a diverse set of teams, systems, and technology stacks.
• Design and build reliable, intuitive user interfaces and workflows.
• Create cutting-edge solutions for data visualizations, task automation, and workflow improvements.

Requirements

• Demonstrated technology flexibility with experience spanning UI/UX, middleware/API, back-end, and DevOps, plus a willingness to adopt needed technologies to achieve solutions.
• Experience developing with at least one UI framework (React, Vue, Angular).
• Experience writing scripts and services in Python.
• RESTful web applications experience using both Spring Boot and Python.
• Familiarity with relational databases (Postgres, SQLite, etc.).
• Familiarity with GitLab (CI/CD).

Salary Range

Compensation for this role is listed as $232,000 to $283,000 annually. The stated range is indicative and may vary based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements; compensation could fall outside this range.
