Job Description
The Threshold Inc is seeking a Job Developer in West Bend, WI (onsite) with a compensation of USD 17 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Promote the philosophy of community integration and employment for persons with disabilities.
- Develop new employer contacts within the community to offer and promote our employment services.
- Build and sustain long term relationships with community partners and employers.
- Initiate employer contacts on behalf of individuals pursuing community based employment.
- Create employment opportunities that address the mutual needs of individuals and employers.
- Maintain accurate documentation of job development and case management activities.
- Assist individuals with job seeking skills, including career exploration, resume development, understanding job markets, job seeking tools, and interviewing techniques.
- Develop and provide community job shadowing and informational interviews for individuals in career exploration.
- Provide case management services, including written PCPs, monthly reports, case notes, and attendance at staffings.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate client goals related to employment success.
- Participate in Chamber of Commerce events and activities.
- Facilitate and maintain contact with funding sources, employers, agency staff, clients and families regarding progress toward employment goals.
- Keep the Director of Employment Services informed of case developments.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Associate Degree and two years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Master’s degree is preferred but not required.
- Preferable background in HR, Marketing, Sales, or Staffing.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer.

Work Environment
Work is largely dictated by client placements and required job coaching, and may occur in an office setting or at on-site locations such as factories.
Transportation
Essential duties typically require a valid Wisconsin driver's license, a good driving record, and access to an adequately insured vehicle.
Physical Demands
Light work classification. Lifting up to 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
