Job Description

SN Cloud Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Java Developer to join its Trading Hub initiative in New York. This role focuses on designing and building high-performance trading applications that integrate market data feeds, order management systems (OMS/EMS), and real-time event-driven architectures using modern Java technologies. The successful candidate will blend deep capital markets knowledge with hands-on engineering leadership to deliver scalable, low-latency solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and support Trading Hub applications for equities, fixed income, FX derivatives and post-trade processing
  • Build scalable, low-latency, high-throughput applications using Java Spring Boot and Microservices
  • Develop integrations with OMS/EMS, market data providers, pricing engines and downstream settlement platforms
  • Implement real-time messaging and streaming solutions using Kafka, JMS and event-driven architecture
  • Participate in architecture design, code reviews, performance tuning and production support activities
  • Collaborate with traders, business analysts, product owners and operations teams to deliver trading solutions
  • Lead technical discussions, mentor junior developers and drive engineering best practices

Requirements

  • 10 years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE development
  • Strong expertise in Core Java, multithreading, concurrency, collections and performance optimization
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, Hibernate/JPA
  • Strong knowledge of Kafka, JMS, MQ and distributed systems
  • Experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL and database performance tuning
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes and cloud platforms AWS/Azure
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies

Trading Domain Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of Trading Hub platforms and Capital Markets
  • Experience with Order Lifecycle Management, Trade Capture, Trade Validation, Allocation, Settlement and Clearing
  • Understanding of Market Data, FIX Protocol, OMS/EMS, Risk and Compliance workflows
  • Knowledge of Equities, FX, Fixed Income, Derivatives and Electronic Trading platforms
  • Exposure to low-latency trading and real-time market systems is highly preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading distributed development teams
  • Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and observability tools (Splunk, Grafana, AppDynamics)
  • Capital Markets or Trading related certifications preferred
