Senior Java Developer
Job Description
Senior Java Developer role in Charlotte, NC (hybrid) supporting delivery teams building and maintaining complex, high-volume applications with Spring-based solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level technical direction and oversight for a team delivering technology solutions across the full software lifecycle
- Guide the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex computer programs aligned to business objectives
- Ensure coding practices and software quality meet established software development standards
- Lead development and ongoing maintenance of server-side applications using Spring MVC and the broader Spring Framework ecosystem
- Support performance tuning and reliability improvements with strong understanding of JVM internals and distributed system behavior
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with multiple software implementations
- Experience with Spring MVC and Spring Framework, including:
- Spring Boot
- Spring Security
- Spring Integration
- Spring MVC
- Spring Data JPA
- Strong understanding of SOAP web services and related standards, plus REST/JSON; experience building RESTful web services
- Working knowledge of front-end technologies: Handlebars, Foundation, and ReactJS
- Experience with unit testing using JUnit; knowledge of XML/JSON binding libraries such as JAXB, Jackson, or Gson
