Overview
Consolidated Networks Corporation (CNC) is seeking an Instructional Developer for the Training Services Contract (TSC). The position is based at Fort Irwin, California, home to the U.S. Army National Training Center in the Mojave Desert, about 40 miles northeast of Barstow. The role operates in a complex, fast paced 24x7 DoD Army computing environment.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline or field is preferred, but not mandatory.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship with an active DoD Secret security clearance
- Security+ certification or other Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification
- Valid driver’s license and maintenance of Fort Irwin driving privileges
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
- Willingness to work shift rotations
- Ability to travel to remote locations on post in extreme Mojave Desert weather, including heat and cold, helicopter travel, 4x4 travel, tactical vehicles, elevated walkways, and mountain tops
Job Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Gray Eagle operators as the MUSE/NVIG Subject Matter Expert in support of NTC rotational training exercises
- Operate and maintain the MUSE/NVIG Virtual Gray Eagle suite
- Execute simulation scenarios aligned with NTC rotational training plans and exercise objectives
- Ensure system configuration, database accuracy, and troubleshooting across all connected or attached systems
- Model ISR platforms within simulation environments as needed
- Monitor and manage data flow and system integration across simulation and intelligence systems
- Apply software updates and IAVA security patches to maintain compliance and security posture
- Attend and contribute to meetings, briefs, and planning sessions, providing SME-level input
- Build, manage, and maintain simulation databases in MUSE and NVIG environments
- Conduct pre-exercise testing, validation, and system troubleshooting
- Provide on-site operational support during training rotations
- Collaborate with military personnel, intelligence teams, and contractor support staff
- Analyze system performance and recommend improvements
- Document processes, generate reports, and support training deliverables
- Perform other duties as assigned
