Technical Instructor / Course Developer
Job Description
The Technical Instructor / Course Developer role at LAUKOA is an onsite position in Fort Stewart, GA, supporting a training program that relies on consistent, accurate instruction. In this curriculum-focused leadership role, you serve as the program’s curriculum-development lead, instructional-standardization subject matter expert (SME), and primary internal instructional surge resource, maintaining and revising LAT courseware while supporting classroom delivery as needed.
As a key partner to the PM on upcoming curriculum, scheduling, and resource requirements, you help ensure training remains aligned with regulatory, system, and policy changes while supporting instructor teams across multiple course iterations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and revise all LAT curricula
- Organize complex subjects into instructional blocks
- Develop and revise lesson plans
- Develop instructional graphics and presentations
- Maintain instructor guides and student materials
- Incorporate regulatory, system, and policy changes into training
- Develop and revise examinations and test items
- Conduct test analysis
- Recommend curriculum improvements
- Standardize instructional delivery across the 10 Technical Instructors
- Support preparation for approximately 188 annual course iterations
- Conduct QA/QC reviews of training products
- Maintain course continuity documentation
- Teach courses during instructor absences or workload surges
- Serve as backup instructor for courses matching the employee’s technical qualifications
- Coordinate with the PM on upcoming curriculum, scheduling, and resource requirements
Requirements
- Secret Security Clearance
- Minimum five years of technical instruction, training-development, Army logistics, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated curriculum-development experience
- Familiarity with adult-learning principles
- Ability to develop lesson plans, instructional materials, tests, presentations, and technical courseware
- Army logistics experience strongly preferred
- Hold recognized credentials such as the Army Basic Instructor Course, Foundation Instructor Facilitator Course, Cadre Training Course, or equivalent Department of Defense or TRADOC certification
- Must demonstrate a minimum of three to five years of specialized experience in Army logistics doctrine, including: Army Regulation 750-1, Army Regulation 710-2, Department of the Army Pamphlet 710-2-1, Department of the Army Pamphlet 710 2-2, and Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations hazardous material standards
