Raytheon is building software for aerospace and defense products on its Fort Wayne, Indiana team, and this onsite Software Engineer/Developer II role supports the development, testing, and integration of complex software and systems solutions. The work is delivered through collaborative, cross-discipline teams using agile practices, with close partnership alongside Systems and Integration Test Engineers.

This position is located onsite in Fort Wayne, IN, and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, since only U.S. citizens are eligible for this type of clearance.

What You Will Do

• Participate in collaborative, cross-discipline integrated product teams, using agile software development practices to develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions for aerospace and defense applications
• Collaborate with Systems and Integration Test Engineers to analyze, implement, and test system functionality

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or similar degree
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) or more years of professional experience in software development, integration, and/or test using C++, Java, Ada or similar object-oriented software language
• Security clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required
• Security clearance status: Active and existing security clearance required after day 1
