Software Engineers

Join Maximum Technology Corporation in Huntsville, AL for an onsite software engineering role supporting the development and sustainment of DoD systems, subsystems, and components. The work blends hands-on engineering with technical oversight, including architecture evaluation, code inspections, testing oversight, and change request management. You will also mentor and direct a team of software engineers while working within a stable environment and using Agile practices supported by Jira.

What you’ll be doing

• Interpret requirements and translate them into software solutions
• Write, debug, maintain, and test software across multiple projects and platforms
• Support architecture evaluation, including review of technical approaches
• Conduct code inspection and participate in process and standards management
• Provide testing oversight to help ensure quality and correctness
• Manage change requests as systems evolve
• Mentor and direct a team of software engineers
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

What you bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in a computer-related field
• Six (6) years of related experience
• Knowledge and ability across a variety of software engineering principles and concepts
• Ability to work independently while also acting as a team lead
• Ability to interface with stakeholders, perform management functions, and develop requisite reports
• Experience with Agile methodology and the Jira project management tool

Preferred

• Master’s Degree in a computer-related field
