Job Description
Join an agile software environment building embedded solutions for Land & Airborne Systems through research-oriented work with award-winning teams. This fully on-site role in Bloomington, MN supports practical software that contributes to mission readiness for the nation’s security.
You’ll work on an embedded software team developing software for embedded systems, products, and services using modern tooling and established processes. The position requires a DoD Secret clearance at time of hire, and applicants must also meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of work performed within company facilities.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an embedded software engineer on an agile software team delivering software for embedded systems, products, and services within Land & Airborne Systems.
- Contribute to development efforts that help make a real difference in keeping heroes and the nation safe.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related STEM field, plus 5+ years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree plus 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance required at time of hire.
- Selected applicants will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Preferred Qualifications
- Expert-level programming experience in C and C++, with knowledge of Python or Rust
- Background in embedded software development, Linux, RTOS, and HW/SW integration
- Familiarity with DO-178 compliant software engineering life-cycle experience or experience in a regulated industry
- Ability to apply technical standards and methodologies to solve problems creatively
- Collaborative team mindset with interest in providing technical leadership
- Knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements
- Familiarity with containerization, including Docker or Kubernetes
Salary: USD 118,570 - 126,000 per year. Experience level: 5+ years. Workplace option: fully on-site in Bloomington, MN.
