Job Description

Remote Senior Oracle EPM Cloud Developer to maintain and automate the Oracle EPM Cloud environment for a Pacific Northwest utility provider; one-year renewable contract; Rate: $63/hour; candidates must reside in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Montana.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning, governance, and daily management of the Oracle EPM Cloud to maintain system health, stability, and reliability.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance automation scripts in PowerShell and Windows Batch to ensure reliable nightly data processing and maintenance cycles.
  • Create new automation using EPM Automate and REST API to streamline administrative tasks and improve system stability.
  • Perform root cause analyses for production incidents by examining server logs and EPM Automate exit codes to resolve issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with technical staff, the third-party implementation partner, and business users to translate requirements into functional capabilities.
  • Oversee migration of EPM artifacts (Calculation Scripts, Web Forms, Business Rules, Security) between environments using Life Cycle Management (LCM).
  • Define data staging needs and coordinate with data warehouse and source system teams to ensure data is properly structured, transformed, and validated before loading into EPM.
  • Support core application duties including metadata management, user security provisioning, application maintenance, and performance tuning.
  • Maintain organized documents and filing systems to meet compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship and valid U.S. Driver’s License are required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
  • 8 years of experience required with an applicable bachelor’s degree; 10 years required without a degree or with an applicable degree.
  • Direct information technology experience performing system administration is required.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience administering and developing an Oracle EPM/Hyperion platform.
  • Proficiency with EPM Automate for admin tasks and moving data/artifacts.
  • Advanced scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, and/or Windows Batch, with robust error handling and logging.
  • Experience administering an Oracle EPM Cloud application (PBCS/EPBCS, FCCS) or a similar on-prem Hyperion Planning environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting EPM data load processes using Data Management or Data Integration.
  • Knowledge of EPM components such as business rules, calculation scripts, and security models.
  • Experience with Life Cycle Management (LCM) for migrating application artifacts.
  • Experience defining data transformation and validation rules for integrating relational data into a multidimensional EPM/Essbase application.
