Senior Application Developer - ERP Systems

In Oakland, CA, this onsite role at the Center for Elders' Independence focuses on sustaining the ERP landscape that powers Finance and HR. The position centers on stable system operations, proactive user support, and disciplined execution of approved changes so ERP applications reliably back business processes. You will work with Finance, HR, business analysts, vendors, and IT partners to understand operational needs and address issues as they arise.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Finance, HR, business analysts, vendors, and IT teams to capture operating needs and system issues, delivering timely support and solutions aligned with approved designs and business requirements.
• Provide hands-on ERP support, including configuration changes, managing user access, adjusting workflows, and routine maintenance, while applying approved enhancements and fixes under guidance from senior technical leadership.
• Support integrations between ERP systems and other enterprise platforms such as EMR, CRM, banking systems, and external vendors; verify data accuracy and completeness for inbound and outbound integrations, escalating issues as needed.
• Monitor ERP health and performance, troubleshoot incidents and data discrepancies, and serve as an escalation point for complex operational problems.
• Ensure ERP operations comply with security policies, healthcare regulations, and internal controls; assist audits and compliance reviews by providing documentation and system evidence.
• Maintain technical and operational documentation covering ERP configurations, workflows, and support procedures.
• Provide user support, training assistance, and guidance to Finance and HR staff.
• Support knowledge transfer and onboarding activities for new ERP application support staff.

Requirements

• An associate degree in computer science, information technology, finance, or a related field.
• Five or more years of experience in ERP application support, configuration, or enterprise application operations.
• Proven experience supporting financial or HR systems within a regulated environment.
• Experience collaborating with vendors and third-party service providers.
• Hands-on experience supporting ERP systems for Finance and HR.
• Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with application integrations and data flows across enterprise systems.
• Basic scripting skills in Python or JavaScript for automation or issue resolution.
• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability concepts such as HL7 and FHIR from a support or validation perspective.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Clear communication skills for collaborating with business users and technical teams.
