Job Description

Lead, Cloud Software Engineer at L3Harris Technologies oversees design, development, and deployment of cloud based applications and microservices across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud within an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive design, development, and integration of cloud software in an Agile setting, building cloud based applications and configuring deployment environments to achieve end-to-end integration between cloud and non-cloud components.
  • Deliver applications that align with program requirements and the cloud technology roadmap and business vision.
  • Collaborate with development teams and customers to review designs and estimates, documenting risks, assumptions, and limitations.
  • Apply DevOps practices to create and continuously improve automated build, test, and deployment pipelines for cloud applications.
  • Provide ongoing operational support to ensure high availability and other service level agreements.
  • Design, develop, and deploy microservices in Kubernetes based environments such as EKS or OpenShift.
  • Utilize microservice architectural patterns to shape scalable solutions.
  • Work in cloud environments with a focus on containerized workloads, databases, and object storage.
  • Develop scalable, highly available enterprise systems optimized for cloud deployment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an FAA public trust clearance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field plus 6-9 years of software experience.
  • Graduate degree with 4-7 years of software experience.
  • Alternatively, 10-12 years of software experience in lieu of a degree.

Job Details

  • Location: Melbourne, FL (onsite)
  • Schedule: 9/80 work pattern, 80 hours over 14 days with every other Friday off
