Job Developer
Job Description
The organization seeks a dedicated Job Developer to advance employment opportunities for job seekers with disabilities by partnering with employers, education providers, and community organizations. This role centers on building sustainable placements through proactive employer engagement and client-focused support services.
Responsibilities
- Drive employer engagement by presenting program services to employers, staffing agencies, and industry groups to recruit job seekers with disabilities.
- Assess job seekers' skills and interests to match them with appropriate job openings for lasting success.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with employers, community partners, and government programs to broaden available opportunities.
- Recruit employers through networking at chamber events, professional mixers, job fairs, public speaking engagements, and partner events.
- Coordinate work readiness activities, including resume workshops, interview coaching, and mock interview sessions.
- Provide ongoing client support, building rapport and guiding participants to overcome employment barriers.
- Collaborate with team members on placements and track outreach, outcomes, and metrics for regular reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (required)
- Valid driver's license and current car insurance
- Ability to pass all required background checks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem solving abilities
- Reliable, self-motivated, and adaptable
- Attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities
- Familiarity with local resources and strong research skills
- Professional representation of program participants and services
- Knowledge of disability-related issues, services, resources, and accommodations
- Proficient computer skills
