Full Stack Software Engineer

Marathon TS is seeking a mid-level full stack engineer to deliver secure, scalable REST services and modern UI features in an enterprise/government Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test full-stack features using Java (REST APIs) and Angular (UI)
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external services
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, tests, and deployments
• Write and maintain automated tests including unit, integration, and UI tests; support code quality standards
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to secure, maintainable, and performant solutions
• Apply security-minded development practices and support DevSecOps and secure SDLC expectations
• Troubleshoot issues across application and API layers; support defect triage and root cause analysis
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies; manage work in Jira and document in Confluence
• Produce clear technical documentation and operational runbooks

Requirements

• 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong Java experience, including building REST APIs (familiarity with Spring / Spring Boot)
• Proficiency with TypeScript and Angular for enterprise web applications
• Hands-on experience with Git and pull request workflows
• Experience using build/package tools such as Maven / Gradle and npm
• Demonstrated ability to design and integrate APIs using JSON and HTTP best practices
• Practical experience in Agile/Scrum teams using Jira and Confluence
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
• Familiarity with test frameworks including JUnit, Jest/Jasmine, and Cypress/Karma
• Knowledge of OWASP, secure coding practices, and cloud/container fundamentals
