Sunfire Solutions is hiring a cleared UI/UX Software Engineer (15+ years) for an onsite role in Fairfax, VA.

Deliver ground-up UI/UX guidance for web-based applications
Design new solutions or modernize existing applications
Create quick UI prototypes to demonstrate next-gen features when needed
Write clean, professional code and help reinforce engineering best practices
Assess user experience, interactions, and usability to improve interface effectiveness
Drive UI consistency through component reuse, theming, and style guides
Collaborate with engineers on system architecture, UI/UX concerns, and application design elements
Produce low and high fidelity mockups, wireframes, and interaction diagrams
Troubleshoot and debug technical issues
Share technical knowledge across the development team

Education: BS/BA in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
Experience: 15+ years of demonstrated software engineering experience in front-end or full-stack capacity

Extensive experience with JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML, and CSS (including Less/Sass)
Experience with modern front-end frameworks: Vue.js, React, Angular
Ability to design high-fidelity wireframes, mockups, and UI prototypes
Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON processing, and JSON Web Tokens
Hands-on experience with NPM and Node.js
Knowledge of web topics including worker threads, web sockets, and storage APIs
Familiarity with OO design patterns and software architectural patterns
Familiarity with Linux
Familiarity with AWS services and cloud deployments
