Responsibilities
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and user flows so functionality maps to user needs.
- Create and maintain style guides, pattern libraries, and reusable design artifacts to support design consistency.
- Conduct user needs research, gather feedback, and refine design decisions to improve user experience.
- Ensure designs and frontend implementations fully adhere to 508 accessibility requirements and align with FBI design standards.
- Build responsive and accessible interfaces using modern frontend frameworks, including JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
- Collaborate with backend developers to align UI components with API capabilities and system functionality.
- Support usability testing, analyze results, and deliver actionable, design-driven recommendations to improve UI/UX performance.
- Provide design and frontend development support for cross-team modernization initiatives and other unit projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design and frontend development.
- Demonstrated proficiency with prototyping tools such as Figma or Adobe XD (or similar).
- Strong experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and web technologies including HTML5 and CSS3.
- Comprehensive understanding of web accessibility standards, 508 compliance, responsive design, and design systems.
- Ability to create and maintain scalable, reusable design system components.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Design, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance required.
- Must be able to pass a background check; additional checks may be required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Acrobat.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with diverse technical teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable in dynamic project environments.
- Ability to interpret technical requirements, identify gaps, and coordinate with specialized teams to resolve them.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

Salary: USD 155,000 - 163,000 per year.
