System Administrator 3 (Oracle EPM Developer)

Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including hardware, systems software, applications software, and configurations.
• Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, replacing defective components as needed.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
• Configure, monitor, and maintain email applications or virus protection software.
• Operate master consoles to monitor system and network performance and coordinate resource access.
• Load tapes and disks, and install software and printer paper or forms as required.
• Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software.
• Monitor network performance to determine adjustments and future changes needed.
• Consult with network users to resolve existing system problems.
• Monitor and test website performance to ensure uptime and reliability.
• Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
• Administer network security measures.
• Implement and integrate new system architecture into an existing environment.
• Deploy highly available technologies such as replication, load balancing, and geographic clustering.
• Install and configure server hardware including operating system and additional software for optimal use.
• Identify standard monitoring requirements and scripting or apply additional settings as needed.
• Troubleshoot hardware and system level problems.
• Interpret vendor or team designs to establish clear implementation standards and guidelines.
• Document implementation guidelines and installation procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
• 8 years of experience with a bachelor's degree, or 10 years of experience without a degree or with an applicable degree.
• Direct experience in information technology performing system administration.
• 3 years of direct, hands-on experience administering and developing an Oracle EPM/Hyperion platform.
• Proficiency with EPM Automate for administrative tasks and moving data/artifacts.
• Advanced scripting experience in PowerShell, Python, and/or Windows Batch Scripting, including robust error handling and logging.
• Experience administering an Oracle EPM Cloud application (PBCS/EPBCS, FCCS) or a similar on‑premises Hyperion Planning environment.
• Experience troubleshooting EPM data load processes using Data Management / Data Integration.
• Knowledge of EPM architectural components, including business rules, calculation scripts, and security models.
• Experience with Life Cycle Management (LCM) for migrating application artifacts.
• Experience defining data transformation and validation rules for integrating data from relational sources into a multidimensional EPM/Essbase application.
