Software Engineer Senior - Clearance Required
Job Description
Senior Software Engineer on Lockheed Martin's C2BMC-Regional ART, designing, developing, and testing Java applications in a missile defense environment; requires an ACTIVE DoD Final Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop new Java applications and maintain existing ones.
- Support software testing and address issues across multiple baselines.
- Analyze systems software and provide technical support to resolve complex problems.
- Translate system specifications into operating system level applications or modifications.
- Contribute to design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation efforts.
- Collaborate with other system support groups.
- Produce software design artifacts and participate in design and code reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience, with at least 4 years of professional work.
- Active DoD Final Secret security clearance is required.
- Proven experience developing Java-based applications on UNIX/Linux platforms.
- Experience working in a structured, process-driven, integrated team environment.
- Demonstrated use of configuration management tools in software development (eg Git, GitLab).
- Experience using standard systems engineering artifacts such as system requirements, use cases, and SysML diagrams to build software products.
- Security+ or an equivalent certification may be required within 60 days of start date.
