Software Engineer

Thomas & Reed, LLC seeks a Software Engineer to plan, build, and validate software systems with a focus on UX innovation for cloud and internet-connected applications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop, and validate software systems and applications centered on user experience (UX) innovation.
• Enhance existing products and deliver new solutions, with emphasis on cloud-based platforms and internet-connected tools.
• Build intuitive, high-performance UX applications that support strategic product differentiation and improve customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in programming languages including Java, Python, and C++, with the ability to apply them across different development environments.
• Experience across front-end and back-end development, including solid understanding of full-stack architecture and system integration.
• Practical familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Kanban and Scrum, supporting iterative development and teamwork.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud, including deployment and service integration.
• Knowledge of database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL, for data modeling and efficient data access.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and propose effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
• Hands-on experience with GUI development using modern tools and frameworks, with a focus on usability and performance.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices for secure design and implementation.
