Software Developer III

The CBE Group, Inc. is hiring a Software Developer III for a US-based remote role in Cedar Falls, IA. This position designs and delivers web-based and client-server applications, working with infrastructure and architectural leads to align development efforts to service level expectations and roadmap needs.

Role Summary

As a Software Developer III, you will use requirements analysis and design techniques to build and support internal and external applications used by CBE clients. You will also partner with technical leaders to ensure delivered solutions meet service level standards while keeping applications stable in production.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage projects for new systems and upgrades to existing systems, including both in-house applications and vendor-selected solutions.
• Assess the effectiveness of internal processes and existing applications, then propose improvements, automation opportunities, and audit controls.
• Resolve production issues quickly and efficiently while maintaining adherence to coding and security standards.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for new system processes and enhancements.
• Provide regular project updates and time accounting.
• Understand, follow, and implement established coding and security standards.
• Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call support for troubleshooting and problem resolution on a rotating basis.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, consistent with the needs of the role.

Additional Responsibilities

• Develop SQL Server database solutions across all layers, including schema design, T-SQL query writing, and database object development.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to obtain government clearance after hire; US Citizenship is required by the US government to obtain government clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years of developer experience with .NET frameworks, SQL, ASP.NET development, MVC development, developing web APIs, and writing T-SQL (stored procedures and queries).
• Experience with object-oriented programming and relational database technologies.
• Ability to analyze end-user needs and design, code, and test software that satisfies business demands.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Ability to communicate clearly with business stakeholders.

Preferred

• Industry standard certifications are a plus.
