Werfen is hiring a Software Engineer III for an onsite role in Norcross, GA.

Work as an active member of a development team, including participation in requirements reviews, design reviews, code reviews, test case reviews, and team meetings
Support project execution activities such as requirements change control, defect management, risk analysis, and release management
Create and maintain software requirements and functional specifications
Identify interfaces between software components and/or hardware
Create and maintain software component design documentation
Develop and maintain software source code aligned with design documentation
Perform unit testing and/or code reviews according to project policy
Run integration testing to verify software behavior within the application and with devices
Evaluate, investigate, and implement fixes for assigned software defects
Evaluate, investigate, and implement assigned software change proposals
Provide level of effort for assigned software activities
Track personal estimates over time to improve estimation accuracy
Communicate technical information to a multidisciplinary team via documentation, presentations, and technical summaries
Recommend or suggest improvements for the department
Collaborate in a team environment with software developers and testers

Experience: 2+ years
Education: Master’s Degree in a technical discipline (Chemistry, Math, Physics, Engineering, or Computer Science)
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to use software engineering tools for configuration, requirements, and defect management
Ability to operate instrumentation
Proficiency in product development code in one or more of: C, C++, Java, C#
Proficiency with a personal computer and relevant software packages
Ability to handle many software components
