Senior Software Engineer

Nuvarik Partners is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Wichita Falls, TX (onsite) to design, build, and continuously improve software applications. This full-time role is hands-on across the software development lifecycle, with opportunities to shape architecture, strengthen reliability and performance, and provide technical direction and mentorship.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop new software applications, features, and application services
• Improve existing systems to increase performance, reliability, and scalability
• Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions
• Build and maintain APIs and backend services
• Work with relational and non-relational databases
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Investigate bugs, system issues, and production problems
• Create and maintain unit and integration tests
• Participate in system design and technical planning
• Support application releases and deployments
• Use Git and modern development tools as part of day-to-day work
• Collaborate with product, QA, and other technical teams
• Document technical solutions and system changes
• Help improve development standards and engineering practices
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other developers

What you bring

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong experience with at least one modern programming language
• Experience building applications, APIs, or enterprise software
• Solid understanding of software design and development principles
• Experience working with SQL and databases
• Familiarity with Git and version control
• Experience with software testing, debugging, and code reviews
• Understanding of Agile development practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Plus: Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Plus: Experience with CI/CD, Docker, or DevOps tools
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Compensation: From $120,000.00 per year (based on experience and qualifications). Full-time role with standard business hours, onsite in Wichita Falls, TX.
