Senior Power BI Developer
Job Description
This Senior Power BI Developer contract role with Donnelly & Moore Corporation is based in Brooklyn, NY, offering a hybrid work arrangement. The engagement spans 12+ months and centers on designing and delivering BI solutions using Power BI, DAX, SQL Server, and SSIS.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that meet business needs
- Build data models, ETL processes, and advanced DAX calculations to support analytics
- Develop paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder
- Create geospatial and KPI reporting dashboards to illustrate key metrics
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver BI solutions
- Manage report deployments, security access, and production migrations
- Perform data analysis using SQL, PL/SQL, SSIS, and analytics platforms
- Support Agile project delivery and maintain documentation efforts
- Mentor junior team members on Power BI best practices
Requirements
- 7+ years of BI or data analytics experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI and Power Platform tools
- Advanced SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, and ETL experience
- Proficiency with DAX, Power Query, Power Pivot, and data modeling
- Knowledge of Star Schema and Snowflake Schema design
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall environments
- Strong analytical and communication skills
