Senior Applications Developer Specialist

APR Consulting Inc is seeking a Senior Applications Developer Specialist to support a DoD/Aerospace client in a fully remote, U.S.-based environment. The contract role centers on designing, developing, and supporting middleware, automation frameworks, and enterprise applications using Java, Python, SQL, AWS, and REST APIs within an Agile setting. The position offers compensation at $65 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and sustain middleware and integration solutions for applications
• Build and enhance automation frameworks and tooling
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and cross-functional collaboration
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues
• Improve development workflows through scripting and tooling enhancements
• Lead technical initiatives and contribute to architectural decisions
• Mentor team members and promote best practices across the development organization
• Create clear technical designs and documentation aligned with business requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience
• Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
• Equivalent experience will be considered
• U.S. Citizenship required
