Job Description

TEKsystems is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help support Department of Defense, federal, and commercial clients. The role focuses on building and delivering feature-rich software applications, participating across the full development lifecycle, and contributing to research efforts through proof-of-concepts and prototype development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, deploy, and demonstrate feature-rich software applications
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle
  • Support research initiatives by delivering proof-of-concepts and prototypes
  • Develop using modern programming languages
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and clients
  • Stay current with emerging technologies

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum 6 years of professional software development experience
  • Active programming experience in one or more of: C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Ability to complete a U.S. government background investigation

  • Experience developing backend applications

  • Relevant technical certifications (Scrum, Microsoft, Google, etc.)

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $70.00 per hour. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on factors such as qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other job-related considerations.
