Job Description

Service Credit Union is seeking a Salesforce and MuleSoft Developer with 4+ years of hands-on experience to bolster internal Salesforce development, broaden MuleSoft integration capabilities, and reduce reliance on external consultants. This dual-skilled position ensures continuity, speeds delivery, and strengthens stability across Salesforce and MuleSoft environments. You will design, optimize, and maintain Salesforce custom development (Apex, LWC, integrations), MuleSoft APIs and flows, and cross-platform integrations. The role is pivotal for stabilizing existing integrations, delivering new APIs, advancing CI/CD practices, and supporting major strategic initiatives.

Position Responsibilities

  • Salesforce Development
    • Build and maintain Apex classes, triggers, LWC components, and Visualforce pages.
    • Implement Apex test classes and data factories to achieve deployment-ready code with ≥75% code coverage.
    • Support Salesforce configuration, workflows, and integration points with MuleSoft APIs.
  • MuleSoft Development
    • Design, construct, and sustain Mule flows and APIs using RAML specifications.
    • Develop MUnit test suites (mocks, spies, coverage) integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
    • Enforce API governance, versioning discipline, and maintain environment parity across deployments.
  • Cross-Platform Integration
    • Align and optimize data contracts, transformation logic, and error handling between Salesforce and MuleSoft.
    • Stabilize existing integrations and improve monitoring, performance, and resilience.
  • CI/CD, Quality & Automation
    • Integrate Salesforce (SFDX) and MuleSoft (Maven/Jenkins) builds into automated CI/CD workflows (Gearset deployments).
    • Maintain test coverage, enforce quality gates, and standardize deployment processes for both platforms.
  • Roadmap & Project Support
    • Support and in some cases lead development on upcoming Salesforce and MuleSoft initiatives, including new MuleSoft APIs for .NET, Salesforce, and external systems.
    • Refactor and stabilize existing MuleSoft flows to improve efficiency.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in Salesforce and/or MuleSoft development.
  • Strong Salesforce expertise in Apex, LWC, triggers, Visualforce, and test coverage practices.
  • Solid MuleSoft experience with RAML, API design, Mule flows, error handling, and MUnit.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (SFDX, Maven, Jenkins, Gearset).
  • Understanding of integration patterns, API lifecycle management, and versioning.
  • Proven debugging, performance optimization, and cross-system troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and ability to collaborate across business and technical teams.
  • Experience with legacy MuleSoft integrations and improving monitoring is preferred.
  • Background with .NET-integrated APIs or cross-platform data flows is a plus.

Development Tools Used

  • Salesforce: Apex, LWC, Visualforce, SFDX
  • MuleSoft: Anypoint Platform, RAML, API Manager, MUnit
  • CI/CD: Gearset, Maven, Jenkins
  • Programming: Java, JavaScript, XML/JSON, SOQL/SOSL
  • Other: Git/Bitbucket, monitoring/logging tools

Expected Outcomes (First 6–12 Months)

  • Maintain ≥80% Apex test coverage and deliver robust Salesforce enhancements.
  • Achieve ≥75% MuleSoft test coverage on MuleSoft integrations and reduce integration defects.
  • Deliver faster, more reliable integrations with reduced cross-team handoffs.
