Job Description

This Senior Data Engineer - Manager role in PwC Managed Services centers on leading data engineering initiatives, mentoring teams, and delivering data-driven insights for clients within the Data & Analytics practice. The position is onsite in Phoenix, AZ, with a competitive salary range and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support work–life balance and career growth.

Salary range: USD 99,000 - 232,000 per year

The Opportunity

As a Manager level professional, you will harness data and analytics to inform strategic decisions for client scope and outcomes. You will steer project planning and execution, develop innovative solutions to optimize business performance, and manage client accounts while mentoring junior staff. You are accountable for ensuring project success and delivering measurable value to clients and the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Lead data engineering projects to generate strategic insights and improve business performance, including ETL and ELT integration.
  • Design and implement innovative data solutions using advanced analytics techniques with DataStage.
  • Manage and mentor teams to elevate capabilities and deliver high-quality client services, focusing on pipeline architecture.
  • Leverage business intelligence tools and cloud-based analytics platforms to strengthen data‑driven decision making (AWS and Redshift).
  • Build and maintain data pipelines and architectures to support analytics initiatives on DB2 and SQL Server.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for data utilization and process improvement using GoldenGate and CDC.
  • Oversee the deployment of scalable data visualization and reporting solutions with attention to performance tuning.
  • Promote the adoption of new technologies and methodologies within data and analytics teams (S3, Glue).
  • Address and resolve conflicts or issues with clients and team members, escalating when necessary.
  • Uphold professional and technical standards, including adherence to the firm code of conduct and independence requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience.
