Job Description

At Tata Consultancy Services, a global IT services leader, an experienced Mainframe Developer is needed for an onsite role in Pennington, New Jersey. The position targets professionals with 7+ years of hands-on mainframe development, proficient in COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM, and SQL, who can contribute to complex batch processing and database optimization. The role offers a competitive USD 95,000 to 115,000 per year and requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with mainframe technologies.
  • Core skills include COBOL, DB2, JCL, and VSAM.
  • Proven ability to write complex SQL queries, optimize database performance, and develop batch programs and stored procedures.
  • Experience with Endevor, Changeman, File Manager, and SPUFI.
  • Familiarity with Agile concepts; financial domain experience is a plus.
