Mainframe Developer

As a Mainframe Developer (Technology Consultant 1) at Infosys, you will contribute across the software development lifecycle, from capturing stakeholder needs and translating them into specifications to building, testing, integrating, and supporting live mainframe applications. The role is based in Richardson, TX and is onsite.

Responsibilities

• Support targeted interviews and workshops to capture user needs, ensuring stakeholder requirements are accurately documented.
• Participate in design discussions to capture software specifications and help create process documentation.
• Develop, refine, and document code for new software applications in alignment with detailed design specifications and user requirements.
• Execute test plans, analyze results, and report defects to the development team to support software performance enhancements.
• Assist with integration efforts for new software features, supporting smooth transitions within the existing system infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot live applications, ensuring timely issue resolution and maintaining comprehensive documentation for ongoing system maintenance.
• Document coding practices, testing methodologies, and technical solutions to expand the team’s knowledge repository.
