Job Description
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Specialty Software Engineer (Full stack Developer) to support the Workplace Service Delivery (WSD) platform and related workplace technology initiatives. In this hybrid role in Charlotte, NC, you will help shape product strategy and drive roadmap execution through requirements management, testing, and production support. You will also partner across engineering, architecture, infrastructure, security, and vendors to deliver scalable, secure solutions while maintaining operational excellence.
How you’ll contribute
- Serve as the end-to-end owner for assigned WSD capabilities, aligning business objectives, technology strategy, and delivery execution
- Bring strong technical acumen to partner effectively with engineering, architecture, infrastructure, security, and vendor teams
- Identify delivery, technical, operational, and dependency risks early to protect timelines and business operations
- Maintain visibility into application health, production issues, integration performance, technical debt, and upcoming platform changes
- Drive resolution of complex technical and business challenges by facilitating cross-team collaboration
- Provide leadership during incidents, production support events, and major releases, including issue triage, root-cause analysis, prioritization, and communication
- Partner with engineering teams to translate business requirements into solutions that are scalable, supportable, and secure
- Support quality outcomes through solution reviews, test planning and validation, release readiness assessments, and post-implementation reviews
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and platform optimization
- Look ahead to roadmap commitments, capacity constraints, dependency risks, compliance requirements, and future business needs
- Build strong relationships with product owners, business stakeholders, technology teams, operations partners, and vendors
- Support operational excellence through data-driven decisions, service metrics, adoption monitoring, and continuous improvement
- Mentor less experienced software engineers and collaborate across professional levels, including managers
- Lead the team to achieve objectives and partner effectively with production support and platform engineering teams
What you bring
- 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of work experience, training, military experience, and/or education
- 5+ years hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot
- 4+ years experience with SQL Server development, including complex queries and stored procedures
- 3+ years experience with software and system architecture
- 2+ years front-end development experience using Angular and/or React
- 1+ year experience in AI-related development
